Cartoon of the Week: The Yellow Leaf

A new chapter of A Figure from the Common Lot began this week, with part one of “Peas in a Pod”, the narrative taking up young Richard Everard’s perspective. “All the Sires of Generations”, flash fiction, is the story of a naturalist searching for a bird. Tuesday, “The Sovereignty”, a poem; Wednesday, the conclusion to “Please Help”, in which Milton is given an inkling, and would like to feel more involved.
Thursday, my translation La Castastrophe de la Martinique, with the reporter describing the spectacle as his ship approaches Mt. Pelée. Jealousy, Chapter Two of The Totem-Maker, continued Friday, Lord Sente’s fortune about to be told. Saturday, another poem, “The Loath of Oilty”.
Images on my posts usually have a link to related information (click first image), sometimes serious, sometimes whimsical, sometimes in answer to a direct reference. Since people can be leery about links, I include them here: what they are, what sites they point to.
