Cartoon of the Week: Dealing from a Weak Position

In Sunday’s A Figure from the Common Lot: The House of Everard (part three), Richard defies his mother, and marries Verbena, dividing himself from Peggy. On Monday, “The Assassin Comes”, another installment of the latest Folly, in which the shade of Krug considers his running afoul of a man hunting Agnes; Tuesday, a new flash fiction piece, “Character”, a look into the mind of a philosopher…or lunatic. Wednesday, another vignette of Yoharie, this time from Savannah HIbbler’s point of view — an inspiration she has that will lead to unforgiveness.
On Thursday, a continuation of The Totem-Maker, Chapter 2, “Jealousy”. It becomes apparent to the character that Mumas is evolving an enemy’s dislike. Friday, I posted the first of La Catastrophe de la Martinique, a public domain account of the 1902 volcanic eruption on that island. The book is in French; I am translating it to English. It remains one of the compelling stories of history — this convergence of politics, racial tensions, and disaster. Saturday, the third episode in the poem-story, “Bride to Be”. Catch up from the start here.
Images on my posts usually have a link to related information (click first image), sometimes serious, sometimes whimsical, sometimes in answer to a direct reference. Since people can be leery about links, I include them here: what they are, what sites they point to.
